2011 was a busy year, and 2012 is already shaping up to be great. I’m just putting the finishing touches on the mixes for the new record by Chris Bathgate (whom Paste Magazine recently named one of their 10 “Best Of What’s Next” artists for 2012). That record will be put out by my friends at Quite Scientific Records, sometime in the late winter or early spring. I’m not at liberty to post mixes off that yet, but I can promise it’s going to be really great.

I recently mixed the new Jens Lekman record! Pitchfork gave it a 7.9 and called it “a compact gem.” How totally awesome. Here’s the single off the record, which debuted in the indie Top 10:

I’m mixing a few key songs off of, and mastering all of, the debut LP by a post-rock band from upstate New York called LOFTS. This record is absolutely fantastic. I’m so excited about it; it’s thrilling when I get to work on something I love this much. Here’s the lead song / likely first single:

I produced a record over the summer for a dark post-punk band from San Francisco called Tremor Low. The record is called “The Kingmaker EP,” and was just released on iTunes last week. “Peter Murphy’s Dead” is getting alternative/tastemaker radio play in 5 or 6 markets already, which is very cool.
