NY Magazine is streaming the entire Jens record on their website! You can hear that here:
WOW, this last few weeks have been insane. I’ve been working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, mixing mixing mixing! But everything came out fantastic. Sorry I haven’t written in a minute.
We’re leaving on tour in the morning in a blind rush; I’ll post mixes when we get back, in a couple weeks. Looking forward to seeing friends on tour — Shannon’s schedule is here!
This Tremor Low record turned out *awesome*. I posted a mix on the studio page … check it out!
I am incredibly busy this month! I’m getting home from Shannon’s tour tomorrow, and we’re leaving again on 07 SEP … between now and then I have to mix two EPs and a 12-song LP. 21 songs in 22 days! It’s do-able, but it’s going to be hectic.
The bands in question are Tremor Low (I’ll be mixing the record that I produced & tracked before I left on tour), The Ampersands (amazing indie-pop) and the Teenage Frames (pop-punk). All good, all different.
I’ll post mixes next month!
The first single from the new Jens record is out … I mixed it … it’s awesome … check it!

It’s a busy week around here! I’m just embarking on a couple of very different and very cool mix projects.
I just turned in a first mix for an indie garage pop band from Rhode Island called The Ampersands … and now I’m starting a first mix for a dreamy alternative pop act from London called Glass Pear.
I’ll post mixes from each on my studio page eventually. Here’s hoping these both turn into album projects! They’re both very engaging to work on, in very different ways. Stay tuned …
We just finished the first of many West Coast legs of Shannon’s touring. It went great; there’s a really good foundation there for the building we plan to do over the next 5 months.
Next time I’ll try to post about it *before* we leave. Sigh. Sorry, been busy. :)
Holy crap, this new Káryyn track turned out fucking *amazing*. Check it out on the studio page.
… that’s the line on Kårin Tatoyan, whose new single I just got in to mix. It’s a cool song; heavy, druggy drum programming with drum-and-bass loops over a valium disco underpinning, skeletal distorted sampled choir, raspy synth basses, and soaring, angular vocals. Avant-garde, interesting stuff. Stay tuned on this one …
